A few months ago, I saw a piece on the local news about how thieves were breaking into houses near my neighborhood. They were getting in through the garages of the homes that they were invading. I decided then that I needed to secure my home a little better. So, I began looking into ways to secure my garage door. I found out how to use plastic cable ties to thwart anyone from opening the emergency release, and I made sure to take proper precautions by not leaving my garage door opener in the car. I also looked into having a keypad installed by the door, so that you would need a password to enter instead of just a signal. I started this blog because I want to help other people make their homes more secure as well.
